THE CORTIJO

 

The Cortijo lies facing east towards the sunrise on the slopes of the southern sierras in the province of Seville, the heart of Andalucia. It has gradually developed from a rundown old farmhouse in 1991 into a beautiful holiday complex.

The Cortijo ( "farmhouse" in Spanish) is set in 30 acres of its own land consisting partly of olive trees and partly of uncultivated woodland on the steeply sloping hillside. It is just one kilometre from and overlooks the village of Algámitas, with a population of just over 1000 people.

 

SLEEPING

• The main house sleeps 15

• There are seven twin rooms and one single bedroom.

• Every room has its own shower, WC and washbasin.

• All bedrooms are situated on the first floor with views either east across the valley or west towards the hills of Penon and Terril (at 1125mtrs, the highest in Seville province).

• All bedrooms and bathrooms are kept warm with oil fired central heating to make a winter stay with us that bit more comfortable! Fans are in every room for those hot summer nights.

DINING

• On the ground floor there is a large dining room with ample seating for 18 and french windows opening onto the terrace.

• There are plenty of tables and chairs on the front terrace and 2 covered patios if you wish to dine outside.

• If  you are self-catering, you will have access to our fully equipped, industrial kitchen.

RELAXING

• We have a comfortable sitting room with a roaring log fire; perfect in winter.

• Our bar with TV

• Free, unlimited WIFI is availablein the whole cortijo.

​

• In addition, on the ground floor there is a cloakroom with two WC’s and washbasin.

• Guests have access to Laundry facilities.

• Cleaning/towels/linen/maid service: All linen and towels are provided, including swimming pool towels. The Cortijo is cleaned at the beginning and end of each Holiday.
