ALGÁMITAS is about one hour and 10 mins drive from Malaga airport, which is the main gateway for overseas flights into Andalucia. There are numerous choices of scheduled and charter flights from many UK airports: the most flexible being EASYJET from Stansted, Gatwick, Luton, Bristol, East Midlands and Liverpool and RYANAIR from Stansted to Jerez, Seville and Granada. We can supply AIRPORT TRANSFERS, from an 8-seater taxi to a 20-seater coach. You can also make use of these vehicles for day trips, if you wish. CAR HIRE can also be arranged cheaply and we are more than happy help you with this if you wish. Algamitas village is about 45 mins due north of Ronda which is our nearest city - closer to hand are the provincial towns of Campillos, Osuna and Olvera, each less than half an hour away. Further away, about one and quarter to one and half hours by road, are the wonderful cities of Seville, Cordoba and Granada each rich in history, art and Andalucian Moorish architecture.
DIRECTIONS TO ALGÁMITAS BY CAR
From Sevilla Airport
Sevilla ------ Osuna ------ El Saucejo ------ Algámitas ------ Cortijo Rosario
Leave the airport in the direction of Seville on the N4 (IV). Before you arrive in Seville, you will see signs for Granada & Malaga. Take this exit off the motorway and follow the road to join the A92 towards Osuna, Granada and Malaga. After about 80Kms at Osuna you should take exit 82, signposted to Osuna-El Saucejo and follow the signs to El Saucejo (the A351). After approximately 20kms, you should turn right signed to El Saucejo. Stay on this road through the town and follow the sign to Algámitas (the SE461/A360). You will enter Algámitas; keep following this road which bears round to the right. You will leave the village in the direction of Pruna and after about 500 mtrs you will come to a left hand bend, at this point you should turn right onto a track. Another 500 mtrs later , you will see Cortijo Rosario on your right.
From Malaga Airport
Malaga ------ Churriana ------ Campillos ------ Algámitas ------ Cortijo Rosario
Coming out of the airport, cross the first roundabout. As the road forks, stay to the right following the signs to Torremolinos.
This will take you onto a dual carriageway. After about 1 km, take the slip road signed to Churriana.Follow the signs to Churriana up a dual carriageway with lots of traffic lights. You will come to a roundabout. Take the first exit signed Cartama. Follow this road until you reach a roundabout with a road over the top. Follow the sign to Campillos.
When you arrive at Campillos, take the left turn which is signed to Jerez de la Frontera. Go through Campillos. Continuing on the A382 (sometimes called A384) you will pass the turn to Teba and the next junction is signed Almargen and El Saucejo (A451). Take this sliproad and the first exit on the roundabout to El Saucejo. After 9km take the second exit at the roundabout signed El Saucejo sur. After 1km, turn left towards Algámitas (A406). After 500 mtrs, turn left.Watch the sharp right bend! Continue to the T-junction and turn left onto the A406. After 7.5km, you will reach Algámitas. Follow the road round to the right through the village and you will leave the village in the direction of Pruna and after about 500 mtrs you should turn right onto a track. Another 500mtrs later, you will see Cortijo Rosario on your right.

From Jerez Airport
Jerez de la Frontera ------ Arcos de la Frontera ------ Olvera ------ Algámitas ------ Cortijo Rosario
Leave the airport and follow the signs towards Cadiz, looking out for the signs to Arcos de la Frontera. Once on this road (normally called the A382, but sometimes the A384) you will travel for approx one hour passing round Arcos, Algodonales and Olvera until you finally arrive at a left turn, just after Km 82. You will see a sign left signposted the A9223 to Algámitas and El Penon. Take this turn and approx 5 km later you will come into Algamitas. Follow the road through the village and you will leave the village in the direction of Pruna. After about 500 mtrs you will come to a left hand bend. At this point you should turn right onto a track. Another 500 mtrs later, you will see Cortijo Rosario on your right.
DIRECTIONS TO ALGÁMITAS BY TRAIN
From Malaga Airport
Take the "Cercanias" train from the airport station to Malaga RENFE station (costing around 10 euro). At Malaga station, buy a ticket to Almargen, the closest station to the Cortijo (approx cost 10 euro). There are some direct trains to Almargen, which take 1 hour for the journey. If none are conveniently timed, take any train to Bobadilla and change there to a train to Almargen, which is on the Antequera-Ronda-Algeciras line. From Almargen station, take a taxi to the Cortijo Rosario (approx 30 euro). Taxi journey time is about 15 mins. Alternatively, a taxi directly from the airport to the Cortijo Rosario will cost approx 150 euros and takes approx. 1 hour.
